Have we not all heard that thereInstant
Manifestation Secrets are wolves in sheep's clothing out there in religious circles? When we look at leaders and others to see if they are wolves, do we look for wolves or do we look for sheep? It seems to me that we get fooled, if not by others, then by ourselves in this process. You see, there is a tendency to look for wolves and when looking for wolves, we expect to see big teeth, sharp claws, nasty bits of fur sticking out from under the sheep's costume and so forth. In fact, in religious organizations, we may expect to see horns too if someone is truly a lying deceiver.
Unfortunately, things in reality do not work this way. What we see when we look upon a wolf in sheep's clothing, is a sheep. These sheep are extra nice and spiritual and loving and their sheep's skin is usually well-kept and there is no sign of anything wolf-like about them; at least not that you can see at a glance.
How about their works? Can't we tell the good from the bad by their works; for by their works you shall know them? Well, good people do bad things sometimes and bad people do good things, sometimes. But, you say, "my church spends millions to help the poor". How do you know this? Well, it is public knowledge. That is no accident by the way. Those who want to do good in secret are able to do so and those who want it made public can find ways to make that happen too.
Now, one million is one thousandth of a billion and some churches have billions of dollars in revenue. So, to give a million dollars when you have five billion tax-free annual revenue dollars, is like having $100 dollars in your pocket and donating 2 cents to charity. If a million dollars seems like a lot of money to us, we feel like the church is doing a lot of good. However, when we realize that thousands of times that amount are going into the church coffers, we get a different perspective. Remember the widow and her two mites? When two cents is all you have and you badly need it for something else, that is one thing; but if it's worth what real money is worth today, then it is pretty much nothing, if not insulting.
How to recognize a wolf in sheep's clothing. Please keep in mind that if we do not open our minds first, in this process, then we will only see what we want to see and the truth will not be in us.
