You Are What You Eat

When I ask my clients why theyLeptitox struggle with their nutritional habits, I hear all kinds of reasons. Things like, "I don't have time to eat breakfast," or, I was starving when I got home from work and I ate everything in sight." Some say, "I had a great day- I hardly ate anything." As a personal trainer and studio owner, I know our client's success relies on improving their diet. We can train them until they are blue in the face (not recommended nor do we do this), but if their diet contains more burgers than it does vegetables, it will be very challenging for them to see the results they are looking for.

Now, when I say diet, don't be scared. Some people think diet is a four-letter word, almost as bad as what some of my clients call me after their first training session (muscle soreness can have that effect on people). A diet is the kinds of food that a person habitually eats. Therefore, your health relies upon a healthy diet. It's pretty simple- eat well, be well! However, improving your diet after months or even years of treating it like a garbage disposal can be one of the hardest things you will ever have to do. There are some simple things you can do to change the way you eat, and that is exactly what the following six habits will do for you. That's right, habits. Great habits will produce not only a healthy diet, but also a healthy lifestyle.

Eat breakfast you've heard it a hundred times, 'breakfast is the most important meal.' Technically all meals are important, however if you skip breakfast you are sabotaging your entire day. It's like Tiger Woods teeing off at hole one without warming up. It doesn't make sense. Remember, you have been sleeping for eight hours, okay maybe five or six, but the point is your body needs the nutrients to function. It will make you more alert and increase your energy level.
